Participation in a team-based content analysis study on Game Based Learning
This study will be reviewing the elements common to Game Based Learning (GBL) research as part of a content analysis in order to better define the characteristics of what Game Based Learning is. There are wide variances on how researchers and writers define GBL as well as distinguishing it from gamification of classes. A goal of the project this narrow this these differences and provide a more concise rubric for what can be considered GBL. This is a team project under Dr. Nadolny and I am a part of the group developing the code book and search strategy to be used by for the applicable literature review. The team has now coded nearly 300 articles for the study.
